G.S. (Jack) Guggino, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Specialties: Dr. Guggino began his practice in 1974, specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. He is considered to be one of the leading specialists nationwide in these fields. In 1999, Dr. Guggino began performing the PRK and LASIK procedures in anticipation of applying this technology to children.
Education: Dr. Guggino is a graduate of the University of Miami Medical School and completed his fellowship in ophthalmology at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He completed a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at the National Children’s Medical Center in Washington, DC. He is a graduate of St. Joseph Grammar School, Jesuit High School, and the University of Tampa.
Professional Memberships: Diplomat, American Board of Ophthalmology Fellow, American College of Surgeons Member, American Medical Association and Florida Medical Association Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Interests: “Giacomo’s,” Dr. Guggino’s private kitchen, is used for entertaining friends and honored guests and to create treats for pediatric patients. He is known for his cookies. Dr. Guggino enjoys sports, especially fishing. He has served as the official ophthalmologist for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 20 years and his past chairman of the Florida Boxing Commission for which he has served for over 16 years. Additionally, Dr. Guggino is actively involved in his community, supporting a number of charitable organizations, particularly the Salesian Youth Center/Boys and Girls Club and the Salesian Sisters.
Eric Tridas, MD, FAAP
Dr. Tridas is the director of The Tridas Center for Child Development. He is a board certified pediatrician who specializes in the diagnosis and management of developmental and behavioral conditions such as ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and other neurodevelopmental and behavioral problems. Dr. Tridas has resided in the Tampa Bay area since 1982. He completed his fellowship in Ambulatory Pediatrics, child development and learning disabilities at the Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston. During that time he held an appointment as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University Medical School. Dr. Tridas completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Buffalo. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine in 1977. Dr. Tridas is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Practice at the University Of South Florida School Of Medicine. He is a member of the national board of the International Dyslexia Association. Dr. Tridas is also the State Medical Director for Pediatric Health Choice Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (P-PEC) facilities. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Society for Developmental Pediatrics, the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
Kenneth A. Freeman, MDJD

Dr. Freeman’s expertise in the health care industry is both vast and complex. His firm, U.S.T.V.G is involved in analyzing medical product technological development and providing both legislative and marketing counsel to its corporate clients. Dr. Freeman’s professional expertise is in health law consultation with a focus on legislative affairs, health policy and molecular biology. Academically, Dr, Freeman serves as an Assistant professor of health policy and political analysis at the Howard University School of Medicine, Washington, D.C.
Dr. Freeman was conferred his medical degree by the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He earned his degree in law at the Georgetown University Law Center. His clinical interests include metabolic disease, cardiovascular medicine and genetic therapies. He has published about the uses and ethical challenges of genetic therapies and cloning. His most recent writings include treatises on medical malpractice, Pay For Performance (P4P) and Consumer Driven Health Care (CDHC). His legal interests include tort liability, Federal antitrust activity germane to clinicians and the legislative affairs of P4P and CDHC. He is a sought after national speaker on the above issues.
